CITAZIONE
Q: Please tell me there is still hope for Dan and Serena on Gossip Girl?

A: If I did, I would be lying. Gossip Girl co-executive producer Stephanie Savage confirms that Derena is dunzo. "I will tell you - and you can tell [everyone else] - that they do not get back together as a couple."

"Are CB going to get together or keep pushing each other away?"
Stephanie: Weeeellll.... They're always together, even when they're pushing each other away. That's part of their dynamic, and part of the fun of writing them, and part of why we'll be able to tell Chuck and Blair stories through the very end of this season. And we do think it would be boring if we just put them together and sat them with each other. Chuck explained his POV about that to Blair earlier this season.... But [he] never said never. We have a long road ahead of us.

CITAZIONE
For Girl's final 8 episodes, Blair Waldorf is a woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown. "She's realizing that life is not turning out how she wanted," says executive producer Stephanie Savage. Blair will seek solace in her old flame Nate. Meanwhile Blair's frenemy Serena will once again hit a rough patch after falling under the spell of a sdubious tobacco heir (hints Savage: "Let's just say Serena gets a mug shot"). All this, plus college acceptances, prom, and the Constance Billard school play. Adds executive producer Josh Schwartz, "You have not lived until you've seen Nelly Yuki in a fat suit in the Age of Innocence." No, we have not.

CITAZIONE
BLAIR WALDORF EXPLORES HER DARK SIDE - Devastated by the recent plot twist in her life, Blair turns her back on her predictable Waldorf existence in favor of a more wild and unpredictable lifestyle, causing Serena and Chuck to have serious concerns about their friend. Vanessa convinces Nate that it may be time to forgive and forget when it comes to his mother's Kennedyesque family, The Vanderbilts, who abandoned Nate and his mother when they needed them most. In a misguided effort to be completely honest with each other, Lily and Rufus agree to share lists of their past lovers.

Antonia in Miami: Please, I need some Gossip Girl scoop on Blair and Chuck! And good news, too. I'm tired of the bad news.
I can offer you a little good news about Chuck and Blair on Gossip Girl, but unfortunately it's just a setup for the bad news. Nate notices that Chuck and Blair have a major bond (yay!), but that leads him to respond/retaliate by asking Blair to move in with him (boo!). However, there will be some upcoming Chair scenes for you kiddos, because Mr. and Mrs. Marvelous join forces to investigate Serena's new man, whom they agree they both don't much like. At least it's something.

Belinda in Memphis, Tenn.: What's up with season three of Gossip Girl? Do we know anything yet?
I know that Blair gets into NYU and Nate gets into Columbia.

Cynthia in Seattle: Anything coming up with the Elle/Chuck storyline on Gossip Girl?
According to Kate French (Elle), "Elle kind of steals Chuck Bass' heart, and it gets really complicated, and he gets entangled in all of these webs of lies and different storylines that are going on. It's very mysterious." Hopefully Chuck won't be smitten for too long, but then again how can we blame him when Blair's about to go off and hook up with his BFF, Nate

traduzione:

Korbi, You said that Nate and Blair would be a blip in the Gossip Girl time line, but now I hear that Nate is gonna ask Blair to move in with him. No hope for Chuck and Blair this season? Please, answer me, I really would like to know. I feel like giving up Gossip Girl. -Fernanda
Don't give up, woman. There is always hope for Chuck and Blair. Always. The writers fully understand that C.B. and Blair belong together, but they can't just couple them up and be done with it. You'd get bored and the show would suffer. Instead, they have to throw roadblocks like Nate Archibald, Carter Baizen (played by Leighton Meester's real life boyfriend) and that Gentleman's Club chick in the way. Yes, not only will Blair and Nate be a thing, but Blair will give it up to Carter even before that, and Chuck will fall for the shady lady he was stalking last we saw him. The good news is, there are a few quality Chuck-Blair scenes on tap for the March 23rd episode. Chuck's affection for Ms. Waldorf will rise to the surface once again. It's just too little too late for the time being.

If Blair and Nate are going to be together, what happens to him and Vanessa? I like them together. -Cat
Me too. And they will be together when we jump back into the Gossip world next Monday. Actually, they'll be together the following week too. But issues between them will begin to flare up, and ultimately, it seems their lack of common interests and disparate backgrounds will be the death of them.

What's up with Dan and the teacher on Gossip Girl? Will they get caught? -P
Affirmative. Rufus finds out what's going on and he's not happy. However, Rachel has a dark side that we haven't yet seen. Seems she has more in common with Blair than we were led to believe

Ti annoieresti e lo show ne risentirebbe.

Question: Got any Gossip Girl/Jenny Humphrey scoops? --Giovanni
Ausiello: According to exec producer Stephanie Savage, Dan's kid sis "has a big Blair, Mean Girls story for the end of the season that also ties in with the Rufus/Lily story. And you will see that a new course has been charted for Jenny Humphrey in the fall."

Question: Do we know anything about Gossip Girl's prom episode? --Charisma
Ausiello: Only that No Doubt will be performing, just not in this decade and not as No Doubt. "No Doubt is going to be playing in our '80s flashback/[spin-off] episode," reveals Stephanie Savage. "They're playing an up-and-coming '80s band."

The End of Dan and Rachel?
Mickey O'Connor of TV Guide has this mini-Gossip Girl spoiler / commentary in the website's Q&A today about Dan and Rachel, as well as Chuck and Elle ...

Q: Please tell me the student-teacher sex storyline on Gossip Girl will be short-lived. Talk about cliché!
A: While "hot for teacher" isn't exactly breaking new narrative ground to begin with, here's my thing: Rachel isn't even that hot, and neither is the chemistry she shares with Dan Ho-Humphrey. So I'm with you, they should put this story to bed, so to speak, as soon as possible. And it looks like they're going to - in a very surprising way.

The bad news: Chuck Bass' hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold from the Eyes Wide Shut party turns up again like a bad penny. Emphasis on bad. And pennies.

riassuntoi ep 18

Welcome back, Gossip Girl. How we missed your snarky one-liners and ridiculously lovable story lines.

The show doesn't waste any time throwing us into the latter: every year, The Constance Billard and St. Jude seniors apparently put on a school play.

Participation is mandatory and this year's selection is "The Age of Innocence."

Of course, as Nate notes, Chuck manages to wiggle his way out of it with a doctor's note that confirms "a minute case of stage fright" for young Mr. Bass.

In the night's best, most subtle dig at Jeremy Piven, Nate says Chuck should have gone with "mercury poisoning" instead. Well played, Archibald.

This is a good time to get Chuck's story line out of the way as quickly as the writers did:

Free from the constraints of the play, Chuck sits down at a restaurant, only to spot fellow rich boy/arch nemesis Carter Baizen.

Before these two can catch up, though, Elle walks over to the table.

Carter knows her by a different name, but no matter: this is definitely the mysterious girl that plays an unknown role in the society to which Bart Bass belonged.

Upon seeing Chuck, Elle dashes out of the establishment.

She later shows up at Chuck's apartment, though, and says she needs a way out of the country. Everyone's favorite Basshole must enlist the help of his enemy for this task, as Carter has some serious fake passport connections.

As soon as Chuck drops Elle off in Carter's limo, though, Baizen tells the driver to step on it, as he shows Chuck the tattoo on his wrist: it's the secret society symbol. Nooooo!

Later on, Chuck shows up at Elle's building (thinking she has her passport and the two of them can disappear together), only for her to say the society didn't wish her harm.

They just wanted her to sign confidentiality papers and gave her money to do so. So, you never cared about me, Chuck asked, as Elle made her getaway.

No, she replied, adding: you have a good heart. You should use it on someone that cares. In other words: this entire storyline evidently served as a way to motivate Chuck to fight for Blair.

Speaking of Blair:

Miss Waldorf receives terrible news as soon as the episode begins.

Nelly Yuki got into Yale instead of her. Moreover, the Head Mistress confirms that someone leaked Blair's hazing of Ms. Carr to the school and they rescinded her early acceptance as a result.

Nelly pleads not guilty to this charge, so Blair is left to wonder who ratted her out. The suspicions intensify as everyone received a Gossip Girl blast that outlines Blair's former, shady relationship with Marcus.

Now, Blair knows who the culprit must be: Vanessa. Who else would possess this information?

Vanessa, of course, denies involvement. She's too busy to talk about it at length, though, as Serena has enlisted V's help: S has a crush on the self-involved play director and needs Vanessa to help her get his attention.

A plan is hatched:

The director, Julian, heads over to Serena's apartment prior to opening night of the play. As they read lines together, Vanessa is on a blue-tooth, whispering helpful pieces of information into Serena's ear, the sort of insight into old books and movies that a haughty, stuffy director would appreciate.

Unfortunately, Nate overhears Vanessa speaking sweet nothings into the phone - for Serena to relay to Julian across town, remember - and thinks she is speaking to Julian herself. He suspects that something is going on between these two.

Something is definitely going on between Dan and Rachel.

Even though Rufus intercepts a note intended for Dan - which includes a key and an invitation to meet her at her apartment that night - and tells both Rachel and Dan to end it, neither can deny attraction for the another.

They end up having sex in the costume room at school. Way to go, Humphrey!

Cut to the play itself, where all Hell breaks loose:

With tensions mounting between various characters - another Gossip Girl blast earlier in the episode outed Serena's appearance in Page Six as the only reason she got into Yale, causing S to blame B for the betrayal - none can remain in character.

Nate accuses Julian of stealing his girlfriend, while Blair and Serena go at it like only they can.

Backstage - after Julian is actually given props by The New York Times critic in attendance because he supposedly combined a classic play with modern teenage angst - Dan realizes that Rachel was the one that blasted Gossip Girl with the damaging information about Blair.

He confronts her. She doesn't deny it.

Dan ends things with Rachel and tells Blair that she's the one responsible for ruining her chances at Yale (Dan also mentions to Blair that he banged the teacher in the costume room; why keep that information to yourself?!?).

When Blair threatens Rachel, the latter breaks down and apologizes.

Blair has an epiphany: she brought all this on herself. Sure, Ms. Carr should have acted in a mature manner. But Blair has been a conniving, dishonest, selfish individual for years.

In the end, she has no one to blame but herself for her life falling apart.

Here's where everyone stands as the episode ends:

Rachel leaves Dan a note, saying she's sorry and she is returning to Iowa;
Vanessa and Nate clear the air regarding the Julian misunderstanding, but also realize they have little in common;
Blair is sitting at a bar, sulking, drinking by herself... but only for a short period of time. Carter sidles up next to her, buys the downtrodden B a drink and has her hand on her leg as we fade to black.

CITAZIONE
MAJOR Spoilers for 2.19 - "The Grandfather"

NV: Their break-up wasn't really a break-up in terms of finality. It was over summer plans. NV were supposed to go away together, but his grandfather convinces him to take an internship instead. Vanessa thinks he's changing into something his family wants, that he doesn't want. NV still care about each other very much, but it's about Nate finding himself.

CB: Chuck and Blair kiss after Carter leaves. However, it ends badly in that Chuck says he wants to see the old Blair again, and she says the old Blair is gone. When he goes back to see Blair at her apartment, he finds Nate's jacket...

NB: After the NV breakup, Nate meets up with Blair and they start reminiscing about how their lives had been planned out.

Moar CB: Chuck tells Serena he thinks he's losing Blair after the CB makeout/"you've changed" conversation. Serena tells him to fight for her, so he goes and has another scene with Dorota! :D He asks to see B, but Dorota says she's sleeping. He says, "please tell her I came by," and THAT'S when he sees N's jacket.

NB Again: Their second scene is a cliffhanger. Nate takes B home and she takes his hand and asks him to stay. There is a moment, and then it cuts to Chuck showing up. So you are meant to think NB is happening again.

DS: Dan doesn't actually have a story line this episode. He just hangs out with Vanessa and Nate while Serena looks for Blair with Chuck. Serena finds him at the party and slaps him because she found out about the teacher, but DS still end on a friendly note.

- There will be another minions story line that ties Blair in with Rufus and Lily, and sets up Jenny's arc for next season.
-Jenny has a big Blair, Mean Girls story for the end of the season that also ties in with the Rufus/Lily story. And you will see that a new course has been charted for Jenny Humphrey in the fall.
